Rebranding and brand strategy for BC and Alberta businesses
Rebranding, tailored from the inside out.
Your brand is more than a logo. It’s who you are and why customers choose you. I help established businesses rebuild their brand so the outside finally matches the business you’ve become.
When is it time to rebrand?
It’s time to rebrand when your business has changed but your brand hasn’t kept up, and the gap is costing you customers, credibility, or price.
A good rebrand starts with strategy, not a new logo. Get the positioning right, and the name, look, and messaging all follow.
You’ve outgrown your name, your look, or the story you tell.
There’s new ownership, a merger, or a big change in what you offer.
You’re moving into a new market, region, or type of customer.
Competitors look more polished and credible than you, even though they aren’t.
Customers are confused about what you actually do.
Your website, signage, and social profiles all look like different businesses.
An app can make a logo. It can’t tell you who you are.
Brand strategy is a specialized discipline, and it’s very different from advertising. An AI tool can spit out a logo in thirty seconds, but it has no idea why your customers choose you, what makes you different, or where your business is headed.
If saving money is the reason you’re thinking of doing it yourself, ask yourself one question. What would it be worth to get your brand right the first time, knowing you’ll be building on it for years?
Measured, cut, and stitched in five steps.
Every rebrand is custom, but they all follow the same careful order. Strategy comes first, and design follows.
The branding session
We start with an intensive working session to pin down who you are, who you serve, and why customers should choose you over anyone else.
Strategy and roadmap
I turn that session into a brand roadmap covering your audience, your promise, your personality, and the key messages everything else is built on.
Name and identity
If you need a new name, we find it. Then I design your logo, colours, and type, and pull it all together in a brand guide your team can follow.
The rollout
We update everything customers see, including your website, signage, vehicles, business cards, social profiles, and Google Business Profile.
Launch and PR
Your new brand deserves a proper introduction, so I plan the launch, write the press release, and get the word out in your community.
A brand you can actually use.
Brand strategy & roadmap
Your positioning, audience, and brand promise, written down so every decision has a reference point.
Brand story & key messages
The words that explain who you are, ready for your website, sales conversations, and ads.
Logo suite
Primary, horizontal, and small-size versions, supplied in every file format you’ll need.
Colours & typography
A palette and type system that looks consistent everywhere, from signs to social posts.
Brand guide
A clear, simple guide so your team, printers, and agencies always get it right.
Launch plan
A rollout and launch plan covering your website, signage, print, digital, and PR.

When should a business rebrand?
A business should rebrand when it has changed but its brand hasn’t, such as after new ownership, a merger, a move into a new market, or when competitors start to look more credible. If customers are confused about what you do, that’s another clear sign.
How much does a rebrand cost in Canada?
It depends on the scope. A visual refresh costs far less than a full rebrand with a new name, website, and signage. I work hourly or on a monthly retainer, and before we start, I’ll give you a clear estimate based on exactly what your rebrand needs.
How long does a rebrand take?
A focused refresh of your logo and visuals can take a few weeks. A full rebrand with a new name, strategy, website, and rollout usually takes a few months, depending on how many pieces need to change.
What’s the difference between a rebrand and a brand refresh?
A refresh updates how your brand looks, like the logo, colours, and fonts, while keeping the same name and positioning. A rebrand goes deeper and can change your name, your message, and even who you’re trying to reach.
Will rebranding hurt my Google rankings?
It can if it’s handled carelessly, especially if your name or website address changes. I plan the SEO side from the start, including redirects, your Google Business Profile, and directory listings, so you keep the visibility you’ve earned.
Do you only work with businesses in BC?
Most of my branding clients are in British Columbia, especially the Okanagan Valley, and I also work with businesses in Alberta, including Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer. I work with businesses across Canada, and many branding sessions can happen by video call.
